Salvation Army Nashville Responds to Hurricane Harvey

[Nashville, TN] (August 28, 2017) – The Salvation Army in Nashville has dispatched a two man team and canteen (mobile kitchen) to assist with response efforts to Hurricane Harvey in Texas. They will be assisting with feeding and emotional and spiritual care to the first responders and survivors of this still unfolding disaster. The canteen is able to feed 750 meals a day, not including snacks and drinks that will be served throughout the day. The team expects to remain on the ground for 2 weeks, but the canteen may remain longer and be manned with a new team as needed. The Salvation Army will remain on the ground, serving those in need, until that need is met. We ask that you pray for the community that is being impacted by this disaster, and the first responders and volunteers who are leaving their families to go and serve others.
